The Trilussa Suite
Situated on the second
floor (Italian, 3rd floor
American) of a recently
restored 18th-century
building that sits between
two complexes from the
Middle Ages, the Trilussa
Suite is located on a
tranquil and picturesque
stretch of Via della
Lungaretta, the ancient
‘Transtiberina’ road, which
in ancient times (and still
today) marked the historic
‘main street’ of Trastevere.
The apartment is composed of an entry
foyer, a master bedroom with a queen-size
bed, wardrobe and dresser, a spacious
bathroom with bathtub, a fully-equipped
kitchen (small refrigerator, electric oven, gas
stove top, microwave, all cooking utensils),
and an open floor plan dining area that
adjoins the living room (complete with a
pull-out sofa bed).
There is a wooden-shuttered window in
both the kitchen and the living room
overlooking the street, as well as a
full-length French (glass-paneled) door in
the bedroom and a window in the bathroom
that face an area containing other
neighborhood apartments. Since the
bedroom doesn't face a street, noise is kept
to a minimum. Off the bedroom there is a
small balcony suitable for hanging clothes.
The Trilussa Suite is one of just
three apartments located in the
building you see in the photo
above, giving you unparalleled
privacy and a sense of having your
own private retreat in the heart of
the city.
You'll feel just like a local when you
turn the key to enter the building,
side-by-side with the
red-checkercloth tables at the
Roman restaurant downstairs!
The Trilussa Suite apartment is 65 sq. meters (approx. 700 sq. feet) and can
comfortably host up to four people: two in the master bedroom and two on
the pull-out sofa bed. It is fully furnished and includes air conditioning in the
bedroom, independent radiator heating, microwave, coffee maker, stereo, TV
and DVD player. DVDs of Italian movies (with English subtitles) and local
sights are available to borrow in our guest lending library located in the
staircase. For more information on amenities, please view our chart here.

The Trilussa Suite is named after Roman dialect poet Carlo Alberto Salustri, more commonly known as Trilussa. Piazza Trilussa is a lively square about a 15 min. walk from your front door. To learn more about Trilussa, click here.
